A Brief History
As a family owned and operated business spanning three generations, we take immense pride in continuing the FOY legacy by providing a friendly, fun, and relaxing atmosphere where friends become family.
It all started over 50 years ago when J.T. Trily, and his best friend Frank Domeno, decided to take the advice of Clyde Hays. You see, Trily and Domeno had been watching travelers from all over the country flock to the muddy hot springs in the desert, near where the Fountain of Youth is today.
Clyde was one of these travelers, a carpenter from Oregon who worked winters in Brawley for J.T. and loved soaking in the water. He convinced J.T., a prominent contractor in Brawley at the time, to consider building facilities and utilities around the natural pools he attributed to his vigor and great health.
With a little luck on their side and a chance encounter with Verne Cameron, a famous water dowser, Trily and Domeno founded the Fountain of Youth Spa RV Resort in 1965. Open to all, the Fountain of Youth (FOY for short) became an oasis for locals and cross-country travelers alike to relax and enjoy the therapeutic and healing effects of mineral water hot springs.

As many guests have recounted over the years, what really makes the Fountain of Youth such a special place to stay can be summed up in two words: the people. The helpful staff, the hot springs, the sparkling facilities, these are all certainly parts of what make FOY unique, but the real gem of our desert oasis is the kind of community you'll be welcomed into with open, smiling arms.
